If you book a show for your venue it will be tapered to suit your location.
Material is written specially for a section of the show to reflect your local history.
You can hire a show for your specific group and we will bring the show to you with complete set-up (Backdrop, P.A. etc).
The show is designed to benefit local communities and charities by keeping costs low.
The last 'open to the public' show at Arnesby Village Hall on Friday 20th April raised £250 for village funds after show fee and hire of hall and catering.
"Thanks for such an entertaining evening, which entertained your audience in Arnesby aged 5 to 95!
We are extremely pleased with a profit of £250 for our village hall funds
Thanks again and good luck in Brighton!" - Brian and Sue (Arnesby Village Hall)
You can book shows of any length:
20/30 Minute Shows: A number of 20 minute daily shows in a fixed space. Suitable for 'day events' (Museums, Exhibitions, and Seasonal Events).
40/50 Minute Shows: These are ideal for groups such as Speaker Event, sFriendship/Luncheon groups, U3As and W.I.s
60/90+ Minute shows: A full show with interval(s) tapered to any venue.
The shows will feature songs and comedy from an ever growing bank of material that has so far covered Hastings, Richard III, King John and Magna Carta, Henry V and Agincourt, The Great Fire Of London, Lady Jane Grey and 'Famous Leicester'*. The shows have also included themes relating to the present day and the future. Shows are normally complimented by 'Kings & Queens', a 'read-a-long' song that runs through all the English monarchs from 1066 to 2066, that gives the project it's title 'The 1000 Years Show'.
Shows can also be tapered to your specific interests and suggested themes can be included given enough notice.
*As 1000 Years is based in Leicester we're asked to do a share of Leicester based shows but the show can travel throughout Britain.
